About the club
Cotehele Quay Gig Club has crews to suit all from the most competitive to those who just want to enjoy an occasional social row down the beautiful River Tamar.
We are fortunate to have the most beautiful location to base our club thanks to the National Trust, Cotehele Quay on the Cornish Bank of the River Tamar 9 miles upstream from the Saltash Bridge. We are the envy of many of the Gig Rowing Clubs, several of whom come to the location to row with us and enjoy the river. Take a look at the aerial video below to get some idea of the scenery
This is where we train and row socially, the best gymnasium in the country and its always changing every row we see something different in the river and on the banks including Seals and Kingfishers,
We enter many competitive events in the CPGA calendar including the World Championships on the Scilly Isles and do our best to get crews entered at all levels
Come and have a go and see if you enjoy it - your first few sessions are free.
